Format Festival

For the first edition of the FORMAT Festival – For Music, Art and Technology, held in 2022 in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States, Marinella Senatore presented a site-specific light sculpture created specifically for the festival.

The work is part of the artist's research dedicated to collective participation and public art, transforming the luminous structure into a space open to meeting and sharing. Marinella Senatore's installations are often conceived as devices capable of hosting performances, music, dance and collective activities, creating a direct relationship between the work and the public.

The project for FORMAT Festival thus brings the language of Italian lights into an international context dedicated to the encounter between contemporary art, music and technology, reinterpreting it through a new scale and a site-specific dimension.
