Kappa Futur Festival

For the Kappa Futur Festival , an international electronic music festival held at Parco Dora in Turin, Marinella Senatore designed the site-specific light installation "Dance First Think Later," integrating the language of Italian illuminations into the event's space and scenography.

The installation consists of a 9-meter-high, 7-meter-wide, geometric light portal designed to frame the stage, a 5-meter-high half-sun suspended within it, and a 16-meter-long, 3-meter-high light structure.

Light becomes part of the collective experience of the festival, creating a direct relationship between the artistic installation, music, dance, and the audience. The message "Dance First Think Later" accompanies this participatory dimension as an invitation to freedom, sharing, and the full experience of the moment.

The project thus establishes a dialogue between contemporary art, light design, scenography for large events, and illuminations, reinterpreting their language on a monumental scale within one of Turin's major music festivals.
