“I Contain Multitudes” is a light installation designed by Marinella Senatore and created by Studio Light Mariano in Amsterdam in 2025, as part of the Amsterdam Light Festival.
The work, a monumental 4.4 x 19.6-meter archway, draws inspiration from the tradition of Italian Baroque illuminations, reinterpreting festive arches with a contemporary twist.
Located along the canal near the Magere Brug bridge, the installation is reflected in the water, transforming the urban landscape into a scenographic and participatory device.
Studio Light Mariano oversaw the detailed design, structural engineering, and production, developing a large-scale light structure capable of ensuring stability, safety, and continuity of light in an international context.
