Albero Rebibbia

In 2024, Studio Light Mariano created the Albero Rebibbia in Rome, a 6-meter-tall public light art installation designed by Marinella Senatore. The three-dimensional structure combines wood, steel, plexiglass, and aluminum, integrated into a system engineered for the urban context.

The lighting system, located outside the prison, gives shape to the thoughts of prisoners through neon flex and LED strips arranged along the sculpture, which convey their inner thoughts and reflections.

The work is part of the artist's artistic research, which uses light as a collective language and relational device, capable of generating connections between architecture, community, and the urban landscape. The sculpture thus becomes an expression of the union between art, emotion, and technique, conveying powerful and thought-provoking messages.

Studio Light Mariano oversaw the executive design, structural engineering, production, and assembly, translating the artistic concept into a stable, safe, and aesthetically appealing structure, capable of maintaining technical integrity and expressive power throughout its creation.
